Storage Tanks

Accurate records of storage tanks, including whether they are regulated and what they contain, are required to comply with environmental regulations and ensure the safe handling of fuels, chemicals, and waste. These records support reporting requirements, help prevent spills, protect employees and the environment, and reduce legal and financial risks by demonstrating proper management and oversight.

Who has permission to manage Storage Tanks

Administrators with an Environmental, Health & Safety Product

Where do I manage Storage Tanks?

1. Navigate to Environmental, Health & Safety

1. Select Regulatory Data
2. Select the Storage Tank tab

1. If you have access to multiple locations, you can use the location filter at the top of the page to filter results to one or multiple locations.  

From here you can add a new tank, view and manage existing tanks and export the results to excel.

How to add a New Storage Tank

1. Navigate to Environmental, Health & Safety 
2. Select Regulatory Data
3. Select the Storage Tank tab
4. Select +Add New Tank
5. If you have access to multiple locations you will need to Select the Location
6. Enter the Department
7. Enter the Onsite Location
   1. If you cannot find the onsite location, you can add a new location by selecting + Add New
   2. Enter a new onsite location, this must be unique to the location.
8. Enter the Tank Name
   1. This must be unique to the location
9. Select whether the tank has multiple compartments
   1. If there are multiple compartments enter the details for each compartment
   2. Enter the Contents
   3. Enter the Volume in Gallons, the weight will be auto calculated
   4. Enter all Overfill alarms that apply
   5. Enter whether the tank is regulated
10. Select the Reporting Status
11. Enter the Placement
12. Select whether there is Secondary Containment
13. Select if connected to Another Tank 
14. Select the Service Status for the tank
    1. If Out of Service or Removed
       1. Add the applicable dates
15. Upload any Attachments
    1. Select Files or Drag and Drop 
16. Add Tank

How to search for an Existing Storage Tank

1. Navigate to Environmental, Health & Safety 
2. Select Regulatory Data
3. Select the Storage Tank tab
4. If you have access to multiple locations, select the Location or Locations you wish to search
5. Results are displayed in a grid, you can refine the results of the grid based on the different columns

How to export results to excel

1. Navigate to Environmental, Health & Safety 
2. Select Regulatory Data
3. Select the Storage Tank tab
4. If you have access to multiple locations, select the Location or Locations you wish to search
5. Filter the grid if required
6. Select Export
   1. The grid will export as displayed including any filtering

How to view the Audit History of a tank?

1. Navigate to Environmental, Health & Safety 
2. Select Regulatory Data
3. Select the Storage Tank tab
4. Select the menu next to the tank name
   1. Select Audit History

This will display the updates made to the tank, who updated them and when.
